For the present, the production of 7 grades of KERAMAX bonded flux certified by NACWP has been mastered. Constant work to improve the quality characteristics and properties of ceramic fluxes using the most modern laboratory welding complex of KERAMAX research centre, has been performed.
The equipment allows you to simulate and correct the welding process in a pilot mode for the subsequent introduction of the proven technology into production.
Our producion
In 2005, fused fluxes were replaced by bonded fluxes. At the end of 2011, the Bonded Flux project was implemented, the company's production capacity is 14,000 tons of products per year.
Bonded flux production
The production of KERAMAX bonded flux is presented by a modern technological line with automated processes. Technologies and capacities allow us to produce a wide range of bonded fluxes, taking into account customer requirements, which covers about 90% of all segments of welding agglomerated fluxes in the world.
A modern laboratory base has been created for the development of modern welding technologies, testing of new welding materials. All raw materials pass 100% incoming inspection at the Rigaku X-ray and fluorescent complex (Japan) at an accredited testing center.
In addition to the versatility of bonded flux application, this material has excellent performance characteristics. The use of "ceramics" in welding improves the quality of the weld metal due to its physical and chemical treatment, more precisely, due to microalloying.
PACKAGING AND STORAGE OF KERAMAX BONDED FLUXES
- Welding fluxes manufactured by KERAMAX LLC are made from materials processed by high-temperature calcination (1500 °C), which gives the fluxes properties that contribute to their long-term storage.
- KERAMAX fluxes are supplied with maximum 0.03% moisture content determined at 1000 °C.
- It is known that a low moisture content in the flux is critical to the quality of the welded joint. For this reason, KERAMAX fluxes are supplied in special bags. However, the moisture content in flux can increase with improper storage, use or transportation and, as a consequence, pores and slag inclusions appear in the welded joint. In case the flux, for some reason, has absorbed moisture, it can return its original properties by drying.
- KERAMAX fluxes are packed in 25, 50 kg bags and special pallets with a total volume of 1,000 kg.
KERAMAX RECOMMENDATIONS ON PACKING AND STORAGE OF FINISHED PRODUCTS:
- Unopened packages shall be stored under certain conditions: Dry heated room. Relative humidity up to 70%.
- Unopened bags shall not be exposed to direct sun, snow and rain.
- Opened packages shall be stored at 25 ± 5 °C temperature.
- Recommended drying temperature:300-350 °C for 2-4 hours.
- In case the dried flux is not used immediately, it shall be stored at 25°± 5°С temperature until being used.
- If necessary, it is allowed to re-dry it in the oven for 2 hours at 300 ± 25 °С temperature, while the height of the flux layer poured onto baking sheets should not exceed 50 mm. Immediately place the dried flux into an oven and store at 25 ± 5 °C.
